On January 30th and 31st our PSHE focussed on the journey and experience of the Windrush Generation, before celebrating the positive impact the Windrush generations have had on Newport, Wales and the UK.

On our celebration evening, pupils' treated us to a wonderful presentation, and then we were privileged to listen to an inspiring talk from Mrs Vanesta Cyril. A brilliant spread of Carribean food was then generously provided by Chartwells and over 130 guests admired a Life and Death exhibition kindly loaned to us by photographer Carl Connikie. The night was still young and the charismatic and talented DJ Gary Grant then played Caribbean tunes for us all to enjoy.
