On Friday 8th July 2022, in partnership with Caerleon Comprehensive School and other local Secondary Schools, the SJHS Music Department travelled to Birmingham to compete in the second round of the National Music for Youth Festival.

Our musicians joined together to form a large wind band and performed 3 pieces of music live on stage to an audience at the Birmingham Symphony Hall. The performances were fantastic, and the Music Department would like to sincerely thank all pupils for their hard work and for taking part. We’re keeping our fingers crossed to get through to the next round!
