LEST WE FORGET

During November, our school once again fell silent at 11am to remember all.
Those that have fought and sacrificed their lives in war and conflict. Mrs Burke led a remembrance service for the whole school, Joe Cross (Year 13) read ‘In Flanders Fields’ and at 11am Yianis (Year 12) played the ‘Last Post’ before a minute of silence. At 2pm, a smaller service was held around the poppy emblem painted on our school field. Year 7 pupils, along with representatives from the Cadets and St John’s Ambulance, laid over 100 crosses in remembrance of all those that have died and suffered in the battle for our freedoms today.
£108.20 raised for the British Legion. Thank you for your support.
