The Aneurin Bevan Community Health Council is the independent NHS Watchdog, acting as the eyes and ears of patients and the public.
The Children and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) has previously been criticised; predominantly for the length of time children and young people have had to wait before accessing the service. Changes have been made to the referral process and with the Welsh Government prioritising the mental health of children and young people with additional funding; we would like to understand whether the situation has improved.
We are seeking views on the experience of accessing CAMHS and would appreciate it if people who have accessed, or tried to access, the service for their children could complete a short survey. The feedback will be anonymous and used to improve the services offered.
The online survey can be accessed here CAMHS SURVEY
Or by texting ABCHC CAHMS to 62277
