Sioe Deithiol Addysg Uwch
Daeth Lowri Thomas o Sioe Deithiol Addysg Uwch Prifysgol Caerdydd i’n hysgol ym mis Rhagfyr i siarad â disgyblion Blwyddyn 10 ac 11 am bwysigrwydd dysgu a defnyddio sgiliau Cymraeg tu fas y dosbarth.
Roedd y gweithdy yn addysgiadol iawn a roedd Lowri yn sôn am fuddion dysgu’r iaith Gymraeg at Safon A a fel gradd, ysgoloriaethau prifysgol ar gael, profiad gwaith a gyrfaoedd posibl o fewn meysydd Cymraeg fel CD Cymru, BBC, GIG Cymru, Llywodraeth Cymru a S4C yn ogystal â chyfleoedd rhyngwladol wrth ddefnyddio’r iaith Gymraeg.
Hoffen ni ddweud diolch yn fawr iawn wrth Lowri am ei hamser i ddod a siarad â’n disgyblion i gyd.
Lowri Thomas, from the Cardiff University Higher Education Roadshow, came to our school in December to speak with Year 10 and 11 pupils about the importance of learning and using Welsh skills outside the classroom.
The workshop was very informative as Lowri mentioned the benefits of learning Welsh at A Level and as a degree. She also discussed the university scholarships available, work experience and possible careers within Welsh fields such as FAW Wales, BBC, NHS Wales, Welsh Assembly and S4C as well as international opportunities whilst using the Welsh language.
